AISI estimates pointed to March sales of 626,689 units

AISI expects flat growth in 1Q13 2QW sales

Association of Indonesian Motorcycles Industry (AISI) expects 1.95mn of 2W sales in 1Q13, flat as compared to last year. The estimates pointed to March sales of 626,689 units (-0.5%mom; +3.7%yoy). The Vice President Director of Astra Honda Motor, Johannes Loman, nevertheless remained confident that Honda would still grow by around 8%yoy in 1Q13, though wholesale number is admittedly higher than retail due to higher stock level in the market. Domestic 2W sales is projected to be flat in 1Q13

Indonesian Motorcycles Industry Association (AISI) expects 1Q13 domestic 2W sales to hover at around 2mn units, flat as compared to last year. For the full-year, AISI also expects 2W sales to contract 11% to 6.3mn units, versus actual 1%yoy drop in 2M13 sales. (Bisnis Indonesia)
